Day 2- January 2

We were hoping for warmer temps when we got back to FL but the weatherman had other plans. To combat a little bit of homesickness mixed with cold temps, we had a Louisiana specialty.

Red Beans and rice with Jim Bowie hot sauce

If you live in Louisiana or are ever visiting central Louisiana, you need to visit Jim Bowie's Relay Station. It's only open on Friday and Saturday nights and you better get there at opening to get a table! If it's your first time, the owner himself will introduce you to the crowd and present you with your own bottle of hot sauce. I recommend trying the fried pickles!
